OOTD :: African Dashiki Print

Hi luvs,

Recently I have fallen in love with African inspired pieces. I think designers are really stepping up their game, when it comes to putting a modern touch to traditional African/ethnic clothing. I think Boxing Kitten was one of the first designers to really bring ethnic inspired clothing to the mainstream. With celebrity clientele like Solange Knowles, Fergie, Beyonce & Alicia Keys just to mention a few.

I really admire the bright colors and bold prints that ethnic fabrics have. Easily transforming a regular outfit to something catchy, unforgettable and unique.

In today’s outfit I wore an African Dashiki dress, with a black tank top. I chose to wear the dress as a maxi skirt. The outfit is very comfortable and perfect for lounging or running errands during the hot summer months.

I got this particular dress from  Doris&Doris on etsy. I also paired the outfit with my favorite green statement necklace from Indiska.

I cant believe this is the only African inspired outfit I have. I certainly think I will be adding some more pieces to my wardrobe in the future. Perhaps some shorts, a pencil skirt, a blazer, a top, a clutch or even accessories.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Much love & stay blessed ♥,
