“The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.”
- Ann Wigmore
Yesterday I spent the day at the park reading this book I’ve had for almost a year now but never actually had the time to read. I’m a huge book worm, every time I go to Amazon I literally have to stop myself from buying another used book. I’m like its only 99cents…next thing I know I’m adding five to ten books to my cart.
My husband has literally banned me from buying another book ’till I’m done reading all the books I have. So this is my attempt…to make time to read my huge stack of books. In the meantime I don’t visit Amazon anymore and if I do find out about a book I really want, I now add it to my wish list.
So let’s talk about “Eating for Beauty” by David Wolfe. This is not going to be a review of the book because I’m not done reading it yet. I was really drawn to this book because of the concept, I’m a huge believer that God, has provided and blessed us with everything we need through Mother Earth. I believe that our food can cure us, revitalize us, make us beautiful and ageless.
The most powerful thing I have read so far in this book is,
Many people are out in the world trying to “get” beautiful. One cannot go out and get beautiful, because beauty is not something you get! Beauty is something you earn by refining the type of person you are becoming.”
I also spent the rest of the day painting my nails in this gorgeous hue of electric blue nail lacquer I got from Topshop. I love the fact that its really rich and fast drying, this particular color is called AWOL. These were on sale, so I got three for the price of two, will be showing you guys the rest of the colors I got soon.
I’m also loving these beautiful bangles I got from Accessorize. I’ve been loving neon colors lately and I can’t wait to pair these with some of my outfits for a pop of color.
How did you spend your weekend/labor day weekend?
Have a lovely week and see you tomorrow ’till then,
Thanx so much for stopping by ♥,
Much Love & Stay blessed,
