In today’s feature I would love to introduce to you the beautiful and conscious Teesha of NappturaliTee…enjoy ♥
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Teesha aka Tee. I’m from San Diego and currently live in Atlanta. I’m a Southern California girl, who has discovered the benefit in applying core Southern values.
I started my own small business (Reciprocitee Natural Body Products) where I make and sell natural body products such as lip balm, body/hair butter, soap bars and more.
I also enjoy anything creative such as drawing, painting, acting and modeling.
What or who inspired you to start a YouTube Channel?
I’m reserved in my day to day life and just wanted to put myself out there…
Describe your Channel?
My channel is not just about natural hair but about well being from the inside out. I’ve discovered the importance of internal health and want to help others to not focus solely on the external. I also have discussions every now and then pertaining to my unconventional views or something random.
How long have you been on YouTube?
In Feb 2013, it will be a year.
What camera and software editing tools do you use?
I use a Samsung Dv300f that I got on sale from target. Nothing fancy but it works! I started off editing with windows movie maker, then I used AVS4You and now I use iMovie because I’m no longer on a PC. I like iMovie the best so far.
Most of the time I think of doing a video if I feel that what I’m doing or experiencing may be beneficial to someone else. Whether its something I learned about mineral makeup, a new hairstyle or a juicing recipe I get inspired to share it.
What is the most frustrating thing about being a YouTube Vlogger?
The frustrating thing is getting a following. Its easy to want to be like everyone else that has big numbers but at the end of the day you have to find yourself and hope that people who will benefit from what you have to offer find you. Oh and technology isn’t always on your side…hours can be wasted if your camera or computer doesn’t act right:(
What is the best thing about being a YouTube Vlogger?
The best thing is getting a message or a video response from someone who says I touched them in some way! Melts my heart b/c at the end of the day I want to make an impact and not be in it for vain glory.
How do you balance time between your personal life and your YouTube schedule?
It can be rough sometimes lol… being a vlogger is like a PT job! But in order to keep it enjoyable I record when I’m most inspired. Sometimes that means doing more than one video at a time. I edit any chance I get and try to shoot on Sundays, edit during the week and post between thursday and sunday usually.
Have you met any of your viewers in real life?
Not yet, but I look forward to it!
Do you have any interesting story to tell about your YouTube life and real life crossing paths?
lol not yet…my channel is fairly small so perhaps one day.
Please mention one video that you have made that is your favorite, and why?
My favorite is my Brandy listening party…I busted out my Brandy barbie from back in the day and listened to her most recent album. It was fun:)
How long have you been Natural? Describe your Hair Journey.
I’ve been natural for almost 9 years. I went natural because I was busy with college finals and wanted to wear my hair in braids. Once I took the braids out I decided to cut off my relaxer to start something new.
What Is Your Hair Regimen and Favorite Products?
I keep it simple…I’m far from a product junkie so I stick to oil and water for the most part. My hair is in yarn wraps for a few months now but when its out I do whats called “The greenhouse effect” to keep moisture in my hair.
What is your favorite Natural Hair Style?
My favorite natural hairstyle is a chunky twist out. Easy maintenance and cute:) Otherwise in a head wrap.
What is the best thing about being Natural?
The best thing about being natural is being healthy. I can’t believe we used to put battery acid on our hair! lol I know its not battery acid but might as well be. Who knows what the long term effects are, so that is why I focus on health and realize the importance of detoxing my body from all of those substances from the past.
What is the most frustrating thing about being Natural?
Detangling:) Im lazy.
What advice do you have to those who are newly natural or are considering going natural?
First and foremost, love WHATEVER texture grows out of your scalp! You won’t have a healthy journey if you’re continuously envious of other naturals texture.
List 9 random things that your viewers may not know about you.
- hmmm…I’m very sensitive.
- As much as I enjoy being healthy I have a sweet tooth that I have to fight whenever donuts/cake or ice cream are near by.
- I don’t like taking food or drink into the restroom…they don’t mix lol I don’t even like to chew gum in the restroom!
- I would love to live in Hawaii
- I have a turtle…he’s as small as a half dollar

- I can touch my nose with my tongue:/
- I can’t stand to be cold…warm weather makes me happy

Who are some of the other YouTube Vloggers that you enjoy watching?
Hair wise, I enjoy Mynaturalsistas and Naptural85. They seem to be down to earth personalities with lovely hair and great info to share:) But most of my favorite channels are not hair related, they can be found on my page.
What is your advice to those just starting out or thinking about starting out on YouTube?
Just do it! It can be discouraging sometimes but don’t compare yourself to anyone else, just have fun and be yourself.
What would you like to tell your viewers?
Thank you SO much for tuning in! I appreciate your support and look forward to growing with you:)
Where else can we find you on the web?
