Hi luvs,
Fuschia is my favorite color, as you can probably tell by the colors here on the blog…so you can imagine my excitement when Pantone announced Radiant Orchid as the color of the year. It’s a rich regal shade of purple with fuchsia and pink undertones. According to Pantone, the color “inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health”…and isn’t that exactly what we all need this year?

If you’re planning on integrating this color into your wardrobe or home, you can pair it with shades of white, cream, gray, black, brown, beige, silver and gold. If you’re a bit more bold you could also pair it with turquoise, red, mustard and green or you can pair it with other shades of purple such as lavender for a monochromatic look.

Whether you already have something in this color or are planning to get something new, here are some ideas:

Adding a colorful warm chunky scarf in this lovely hue is a wonderful way to keep your winter outfit interesting, colorful and playful! An instant mood booster and I love this Old Navy Womens Honeycomb Stitch Infinity Scarf, it’s right up my alley.

I love the mini bag trend, I think they are adorable and a great compromise between a clutch and a regular sized bag. I think this Proenza Schouler Tiny Fuchsia Leather Ps11 Shoulder Bag is perfect for straying away from your traditional black and beige bag.

If you’re looking to make a statement, this kate spade new york Necklace, Gold-Tone Disco Pansy Purple Graduated Necklace will totally do the trick. I’m in love with the flower design and the fact that it actually resembles the orchid.

If you’re thinking of redecorating your space this year, but are not too sure about adding this color into the mix, a great way is to test it out is with your bed linen. I’m in love with the texture texture and design on these Anthropologie Rivulets Quilt. I also love tufted furniture and this Bob Purple Bench  is sure to add a dose of elegance and luxury to any space.

I wasn’t quite sold on the holographic shoe trend this past season, but these Jimmy Choo ABEL PATENT LEATHER PUMPS have got me thinking twice…Glam me up!

If you’re still on the fence, an easy way to experiment with this color or any bold color for that matter is with make up. Deep plum lips are always a do during the winter, I personally like this gorgeous deep shade of MAC Lipstick – Plumful

I’m  one of those people who always has to have my goals, ideas and to do lists written down on paper. This 2014 Desk Diary in Magenta Embossed Python Leather is a cute n chic way to keep your life & thoughts organized throughout the year.

So what do you think of Pantone’s pick this year? love it or hate it?

Thanx so much for stopping by ♥,

Much Love & Stay Blessed,

XOXO,

Dee
