Today I share with you, one of my favorite herbs/spices… I add it to my tea, I add it in all my meals when I cook and I even add it to my smoothies. This super spice is the ginger root.
I love ginger because of it’s ability to boost our immune system, especially as we transition from one season to another and our body’s immune system is weakened and is more susceptible to diseases.
It has so many benefits to our health including preventing and treating colds, flus, sore throats, basically anything to do with the respiratory system. It’s also a remedy for nausea, aids in digestion and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
- 1 apple
- Ginger Root
- 1 tbsp of honey (Optional)
1. Chop your apples into small pieces.
2. Peel and grate your ginger.
3. Slice Kale into small pieces.
Add all ingredients in the blender. Squeeze in about a tbsp of lemon and honey and blend everything together. And there you have it! a super healthy green ginger detox smoothie:)
