I’ve got a bad case of the blues… it’s actually not what you think. (lol I just couldn’t resist using that phrase as an opening statement for this post) I’ve been really attracted to cobalt blue lately…and what’ s not to love about this gorgeous, rich shade of blue. It’s a perfect transitioning color from winter to spring and from summer right through ’till winter again. I just think it’s one of those shades that can be worn at any time of the year. And of course bonus points for the fact that it matches perfectly when combined with my all time favorite color, fuschia.
In today’s outfit I styled one of my absolute favorite wardrobe essentials. It comes only second to my beloved blazer… The pencil skirt. I love it because of it’s versatility. It can be worn with a blazer and dress shirt to work and you can make it edgy with a graphic tee and a leather jacket. It’s ladylike and happens to work well on most figures.
One thing to remember about pencil skirts, especially if you’re planning to wear it to work is you don’t have to stick to the traditional black pencil skirt. They come in just so many colors, textures and patterns. There are just so many options, so don’t be afraid to experiment, infuse some of your personality and refresh your work outfit.
