Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!! I hope you’re having a blessed time with your loved ones. I thought I pop in to say Merry Christmas and to thank you for following along with me here on the blog and on my other social media.

I also want to share with you highlights of the holiday season here in Stockholm through my lens. Enjoy :)

I’ve really enjoyed strolling around the city and watching all the beautiful lights and decorations. This has been a real treat considering the sun sets at around 14:00 in the afternoon. It makes everything magical :)

santa_1I took the kids to see santa (not pictured) and it was such a wonderful experience…it brought a lot of memories of when I was their age. It made me so happy to see them excited and their little hearts filled with joy :)

I absolutely love Christmas Carols…it’s always a pleasure listening to all the performers around the city.

Last but not least, something I always look forward to is the Christmas Markets…Lot’s of beautiful handicrafts, snacks, candy and food :)

“My Christmas wish for you…That your heart be light as a snowflake. That your troubles melt away like snow. And a drift of blessings surround you.”

fauxfur_whiteshirt_msdeekay I can’t stop raving about this Faux Fur Vest. It’s been the best thing I’ve bought this season. As I said in an earlier post, it’s warm, cozy and instantly upgrades my outfits. casual-fauxfur-msdeekay booties_fauxfur_msdeekayThis outfit is no brainer… A white shirt, jeans and that’s about it…Add some statement pieces like the Faux Fur Vest to make it look unique and you’re good to go. This is my uniform for days when I can’t be bothered to spend a lot of time gazing into my closet thinking about what I should wear… It’s also my “perfect” just chillin outfit.

Mini Sephora Haul

I passed by Sephora, to check out the holiday specials and gift sets. I ended up doing a little mini haul.

I’m out of makeup wipes/remover so I decided to try the Ole Henriksen NurtureMe Cleansing Clothes with Moringa and Borage Seed Oil. I was interested in these because of the ingredients. Here is the list from Sephora.

-Borage Seed Oil: Nature’s richest source of omega-6 fatty acid; regenerates, firms, reduces inflammation, moisturizes, soothes, and tones.

-Moringa Seed Oil: Bursting with antioxidants, nutrients, amino acids, and omega-3 fatty acids; wicks away dirt and smog from the skin.
-African Red Tea: An antioxidant-rich botanical; strengthens skin’s outer barrier and slows the natural aging process.
-Pineapple and Papaya Fruit Extract: Exfoliate; powerful enzymes break down excess keratin to reveal softer, brighter skin.

I also picked up the Benefit they’re real mascara, I’ve heard a lot of hype around this product and decided to give it a try.

I’ve become addicted with treating myself to a good facial mask after a long day. It’s such a relaxing and nice way to take care of your skin after a long day. It feels like I’m having my own mini spa session and has become a ritual I look forward to. The Lingzhi mask is an anti-aging mask supposed to plump and smooth the skin as well as add radiance. This is my first time hearing about Lingzhi, I was sold on the benefits.

The lady checking me out added a sample of Gucci Bamboo to my bag. I haven’t tried it yet but on Sephora’s site it says the scent is Strong, feminine and elegant.

Notes: Italian Bergamot, Casablanca Lily, Ylang Ylang, Comoros Sandalwood.

Elegance especially in the things that don’t show…

I’m guilty of going to bed looking frumpy. You know… put on some old pj’s maybe an old t-shirt, call it a night and collapse. Lately, as part of a new self-love mantra, I’ve been trying to treat myself better even when I’m about to go to sleep. After all, you can’t really go to bed with makeup on or with your hair done, so why not treat yourself to some cute PJ’s and some nice scents? Trust me it makes a big difference in how you feel.
