When in doubt – A Striped Tshirt & a Blazer does the job

Hi luvs,

YAY it’s Friday, I hope you’re having a wonderful day :) Today, I’d like to share my basic outfit otherwise also known as my uniform. One item that is an absolute wardrobe essential for me is a blazer. I just love how they have the ability to upgrade an outfit. Turning a basic outfit into something polished that makes you look like you put in a lot more effort than you did.

Although it’s summer, it’s still chilly and rainy here on some days. On days like this my blazer keeps me warm and is the perfect piece to layer up my summer outfits.

Anything stripes is another wardrobe staple for me, I actually used to hate stripes because they reminded me of prison uniform. But lately I’ve grown to love them, especially when paired with other colors like red it can look very classy and chic.

Summer Whites & Florals

Hi luvs,

Today here in Sweden is Midsummer i.e the longest day of the year and the onset of summer. It’s the most important holiday of the year. In some parts of the country the sun never sets while in others it sets for only an hour or two. On this day the Swedes celebrate by wearing floral crowns on their heads, being outdoors socializing, dancing and eating all night long.

So in honor of this special day I decided to create a mood board featuring white & florals.

OOTD | The Tailored Vest

Hi luvs,

Happy Monday, I hope you had a wonderful and refreshing weekend :)

One piece I’ve been eyeing for a while and have finally got my hands on is the tailored vest. This has been “trending” since towards the end of last year and I’ve been seeing more and more of it everywhere. I usually don’t add things to my wardrobe according to trends but I try to stick to what fits my own personal style. But this trend is right up my alley.

I love layering my outfits with blazers and the tailored vest is a great alternative during this time of the year. For today’s outfit I simply layered it over a tank top and midiskirt. I love how flowy it felt over my fitted skirt and how it made my basic outfit look like I put in way more effort :)

The great thing about a good tailored vest is its versatility. It’s something you can wear year round, during the colder months you could layer it over a shirt or even a turtleneck and during the hot months just drape it over a tank top or a basic tshirt. It’s also something that can be worn in a professional setting as well as a casual affair. This is definitely a win in my book.

Have a great week ahead,

Blessings,

XOXO,

Dee
